On Scene Command

Crew formed and were briefed by the Police Maritime Unit on the roles and responsibilities  of the vessel that is appointed as on scene command for search and rescue incidents.

MR1 then went to sea with Lady Liz4 where the navigtor and OSC set up a search pattern and command process. The OSC completed the radio lead with Lady Liz4 while the navigator worked the search pattern.

The intent of the night was to work through the theory and practise of search set up and the combination of navigatorand OSC roles, the desired outcome of communication, coordination and cooperation was well achieved.
