Review of MR2 layout from memory and then rope throwing and line handling. Using ropes only and no walking ropes around the MR1 mooring bay, the vessel was ropehandled across and back under control at all times. The crew were also tasked with implementing CRM principles at all times. The second task was to move MR1 across the mooring bay whilst turning it through 180° and maintaing at least 3 ropes in contact with the jetties at all times. This also tested the SAP concept and was hard to execute at first. The crew then evolved processes to increse efficiency and decrease errors. The first 2 attempts were 3 to 4 out of 10 but by the end of the session the crew had come together and were perfoming at 7-8 out of 10 level. All feedback and debreif comments indicated that it was a worthwhile learning lesson on several counts and the realisation that CRM needs to be an active process not just a module done and dusted tick was apparent. Well done team I thouroughly enjoyed the session.
