The PGT runs every year in April and Coastguard Mana have coordinated the onwater support teams for the main event and the kids waka ama event.  This year Coastguard had 3 boats on the water and support boats from Wellington Rowing and titahi Bay boating club.  PGT is a good event for coastguard as it helps with crew training and especially with operational/senior crew on scene comand training.

For this event Master and VP Mark was in overall control on his jetski, Lorna ran a a small boat and Peter was on Pelorus as acting Master., 5 hrs on the water is a good way to simulate some of the  training routines and gives a chance for trainnees to develop skills with consistent practice.

Overall a very good day out: Actitivites completed; observation, on scene command, helm, voice commands, situational awareness, anchoring, boat balance, towing, communications

Turnout:
7 people
Total Volunteer Hours:
45.5
