A small IMT gathered at the base to work through some understanding of the principles of radio communication and the practicalities of mooring boats, the various lines and parts of a vessel.

We spent the evening using PRS radios as our communications tool as they are not monitored by maritime radio at Avalon and we would not be disrupting any marine radio traffic.  The contant use of radio is part of the IMT training programme and in the team is building its confidence in radio procedure, use and the passing and recieving of accurate procedure.
