A 4 metre racing dinghy with 4 POB overturned in the Onepoto arm of Porirua harbour, 2 of the crew made it to shore whilst 2 stayed on board. 

Police responded Westpac helicopter, Wellington Free Ambulance and Coastguard Mana to assist.

Coastguard shore crew of 2 were liaising wih police on scene and 1 radiocoms person in our base at the mana cruising club

Mana Rescue 1 with 6 crew were able to render first assistance with a check on the 2 persons medical status (not a warm day and good wind chill occuring). The yachts mast was also stuck in the mud and had to be freed before rafting the boat alongsoide and taking the crew to safety ashore
