The training session was an initial introduction to MR2 with shore and on water elements, these consisted of; Launch, recovery and fueling - mooring the vessel to a pontoon - basic control functions, engine & steering - initial practical appreciation of helm and engine controls, practice steering along a lead lines - Local area familiarisation; navigation markers within the inner and outer harbour areas - pick up and release vessel from fixed mooring buoy - theory and practical MOB . Other activities - clean and tidy equipment in CG Mana crew hut and familiarisation with equipment onboard MR1.
